Membrane switch panel common faults?
The following are the faults and solutions that are prone to occur during the use of membrane?switches, hoping to help users solve problems.
Fault of damaged membrane switch panel keypads
The button of the membrane switch damaged during use. First, there are three commonly used panel?raw materials for membrane switches (PVC/PC/PET). It is very important to choose the correct raw?materials to make membrane switch panels.
Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) has a temperature resistance of -20~60°C, and is stable at room temperature for acids, alkalis, and salts. Good flame resistance, good electrical insulation, but?poor thermal stability, keys are easy to damaged. Currently, PVC is no longer used as a keypad?membrane panel for membrane switch products.
Polycarbonate (PC) has a temperature resistance of -60~120°C, excellent bending, tensile and?compressive strength, excellent heat resistance, cold resistance, electrical insulation and?atmospheric aging resistance, but poor resistance to chemicals (organic solvents) , The user?presses reaches tens of thousands of times, the button is easy to break, and the button panel is?easy to damaged when wiped and cleaned with an organic solvent.
Polyester (PET) has a temperature resistance of -60~180°C, good drug resistance, and is?insoluble in common organic solvents. It has excellent wear resistance and friction resistance,?especially flexural resistance and high elasticity, and its tensile strength is comparable to?that of aluminum film, much higher than that of PC and PVC. It is an ideal material for making?
membrane switches. 95% of the button panel material of the membrane switch is made of polyester. To solve the problem of keypad damagedt, polyester (PET) raw materials must be selected to make?membrane switch keypad panels. In order to maintain the normal operation of the membrane keypad,?it must be used on a flat device or instrument.
