What Comes Next?

Chatter about changes to the inheritance tax regime and more ISA cash for UK equities suggests the ground could shift in our world.

More emphasis on diverting capital into growth companies is overdue – and we are pressing for pension funds to play their part just as it looks like retail money will be encouraged to do.

But we will vigorously resist any attempt to strip the tax incentives from backing smaller stocks. That’s one of the messages I’ll take to the Conservative and Labour party conferences in Manchester and Liverpool.

The next few months are vital to get across the needs of public companies and their supporter network. Join us today to amplify your voice and inform our campaigns.

It was great to see so many members at our sumptuous QCA Annual Dinner. We always welcome new joiners – as well as new partners. Our latest sponsorship brochure sets out opportunities to support our events, publications and podcast to boost your business development and thought leadership.

We are also pleased to?announce?that Gervais Williams will become the next President of the QCA. The appointment recognises?Gervais' long-standing commitment to our organisation as a former Chairman and outgoing board member. As?President, Gervais will work to enhance our standing with government, regulators and the media?at a crucial time for the growth company sector.

I’m delighted Gervais accepted. His energy and enthusiasm for growth companies are unmatched, and he will compliment our Chair, Judith MacKenzie , and I at a vital time.

Kind regards,

James Ashton , Chief Executive
