What Comes First...!

I watched the movie “Kashmir Files” I must say in “Solidarity”. It kept occurring to me that we should be a part of the nation, that initiates the marginalized back into main stream… people who were left out.?Hold on….. “Left out” what do I mean by left out…? Many of them did bounce back. Many of them are in mainstream business standing equally against competition… some with help and some of them really brave, just by themselves.
?Now what does this convey? There are multiple questions that occur to our minds. I see multiple reactions to the movie…. Legitimate reactions. I don’t blame any for that matter. However, the two things that bring dilemma to my mind are
Does the movie create a divide? Or Is there a loud cry for Justice? ?What should come first??The debate can continue till cows go home…
Here’s my 2 cents…. Call it whatever.
1.???Freedom of expression, the director was an just an observer, maybe like you and me…. But the characters are as real as they can get. We have heard all these stories ample times. However, when it is shown to us in real life form, the truth is bitter.?The director called a ?spade, a spade . Many many of them think it was unnecessary or even called it politically motivated.?And some just hate it as they say the movie is state sponsored. The Truth is always bitter and will remain one. But for the people who had a history in Kashmir, there is some sweetness hidden in the middle of all the bitterness. This feeling is something that only a person who has undergone will be able to convey. For the rest, it is a story/fiction/far from reality and what not.

?2.???Now to the other part…. Was this a motivated effort to create a divide? How do I say this.... I am not referring to the intellect few. The reach is too far and wide. If a person has the ability to watch and understand the movie, the message has to sink in. Even to a child. However, the beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. I feel that the motive of creating a divide is not in the mind of the Director (or any artist for that matter). The divide is either in the mind of the person who is watching the movie or is being induced by the a few who want to defame and take us back multi-fold and undo all the good that has been done.
?My conclusion : The fact that the derailment cannot be undone should sink in and rightfully so. The focus should be on how this can be corrected. The steps that are taken to correct the wrong doings - like this movie which was an eye opener, should not be wrongly interpreted and sense must prevail over emotions. Easier said than done.?
P.S. : This article has "No" Political connotations or affiliation towards any party. This is absolutely made clear that there is No leaning towards one or the other religion at the same time "No" defamation meant towards any religion whatsoever. This is a neutral view as an Indian Citizen

2 年Well said da. It should be watched atleast one time to praise efforts of director who has shown sensitive topic on screen. It shows the genuine pain of kashmiri pandit.

2 年Well said sir. Even I don't see any political agenda in this movie. It's all nothing but truth in plain sight.
