A reflective article on the death of an urban naxalite Fr. Stan Swamy and hitches created in that context !
Sprouts article by Virendra Ichalkaranjikar
The mind was moved with the mourning, crying and wailing heard on the death of Fr. Stan Swamy. Such kind of news immediately gets viral these days on cell phones. I was alarmed when I read this news; not for the death of the person because many prisoners die in prison as they find such life difficult or they fall sick. Stan Swamy was, however, in a Christian hospital of his choice. The question was who would make capital out of this death and how?
We have a saying in Marathi i.e. ‘Mhaatari melyaache dukh naahi pan kaal sokaavato’, the implied meaning of it is ‘sometimes it doesn’t matter if you have to bear loss but the cause of such loss should not become a habit with others for behaving in the wrong manner for capitalising on or getting benefit out of such loss). Accepting the accusation of conceit, therefore, the problem was whether naxalism would raise its ugly head rather than dying of the old man and that is what has happened.
The websites of all newspaper-houses such as ‘the Print’, ‘Quint’ and 'Indian Express' etc started lamenting, are still crying and will do so even in future. It is claimed to be a government-killing; therefore, such crying is bound to take place and will take place; but the doubt is, many questions remain unanswered in the extreme noise pollution created by them and before we completely forget about the questions and stand in the queue of the bygones, these questions need to be asked and that is the purpose of this article !
The teachings of Jesuit Sect
Fr. Stan Swamy was a person born somewhere in Tamil Nadu! There is no information whether he was born in a Christian family but he was initiated in Jesuit Sect’s teachings at the age of 20 and he became an activist. Here, we don’t know what are the teachings of this sect. We are god-fearing people who believe that all religions are equal, but a search on the internet gives the oath one has to take when one adopts this Sect. Read it calmly. You will realise its gravity once you read it properly. This oath is available on the website of Australia’s national library (https://nla.gov.au/nla.obj-2478231803/view... ) A general translation of few lines is given below for convenience. Read the original oath for more information.
1... Condemn own religion and sect treating it as hypocrisy or hearsay in the interest of church: ‘I am giving up my loyalty towards any hypocrite king, prince or State, protestant or liberals and laws enacted by them. I also declare along with it that I will condemn even the church in England and Scotland; so also, Calvinist (An ideology devised by John Calvin for Protestant Sect) and Huguenots (French Protestants). I take an oath that I will condemn my religion-sect as hypocrisy since it is in the interest of the ‘Mother church’. Besides, I will keep secret in any situation, the direct or indirect words, writings of all representatives and counsellors of the church.’
2... Ready to take even extreme steps like doing cruel and merciless acts against hypocrites on getting such orders: It has been further stated in the oath that ‘I take the oath and further declare that whenever I get a chance and on getting such orders, I will wage a war clandestinely or openly, with such hypocrites, Protestants and liberals. I will uproot them. I will eradicate them from this earth. I will not spare anyone irrespective of their gender, age or problems. I shall burn such cruel and hypocritical people, put them in boiling water, remove their skin, throttle them to death or bury them alive under the ground. I will pull out the intestine and uterus of women of such hypocrites to eliminate these hypocrites communities. I will kill their infants by banging their heads on walls. If it is not possible to do such things openly, I will do them secretly. I will do what the Pope’s messenger tells me to do. I am offering my life; my soul and spiritual strength and I shall write all this by taking out my blood with the dagger which I have been given. If I make a mistake or fall short in my resolve, then my brethren, Pope’s army can cut my limbs, cut my throat and ears; cut my stomach; burn me or may kill me in any which way used for killing on this earth. Let my soul always be oppressed by demons in the hell.’

1.... First time, second time and the third time !
1.A... Francis Xavier, who converted Hindus using violence and barbaric force !:
We remember two names when we talk of ‘Jesuit’ in India. The first was Francis Xavier who used barbaric force and violence to convert Hindus from Goa. You must have read the stories of how he persecuted Hindus and how many Hindu families were ruined, how many temples were destroyed etc.
1.B.... Robert De Nobili of Jesuit Sect converting Hindus by deceit and posing Christianity as a sub-sect of Hindu Dharma:
The other name that comes immediately to our mind and is also as per historical records, is of Robert De Nobili ! On realising that Hindus couldn’t be converted using force and violence, he tried to cheat Hindus and convert them. He also belonged to Jesuit Sect. He used to say that he was a brahmin who had come from Rome. He used to tell that these brahmins from Rome were the descendants of ‘Brahmadev’. Robert built churches that looked like temples and consecrated idols of Jesus. He used to get aartis and devotional songs written on Jesus; just like Hindus’ aartis and bhajans. Thus, he used to show that Christian Sect was a sub-sect of Hindu Dharma. Doesn’t deceiving Hindus and converting them using this method by Robert, make him appear like another Francis Xavier?
1.C... Fr. Stan Swamy was arrested for hatching a plot of assassinating the Prime Minister but the church keeping mum on this issue, creates a doubt against the church !:
We cannot forget the above tradition while thinking of Fr Stan Swamy. It is quite shameful for any church that a bishop is arrested for conspiring to kill the Prime Minister of his country. No stand was, however, declared on this issue by the church. The church neither extended support to Stan Swamy after his arrest nor did they say that Stan Swamy should be punished if found guilty. He was in news only for his ailments and his age.
(to be contd…)
