WHAT IS CBD ? REALLY ?

What is CBD? It’s in everything from beauty products to Vodka & Lattes, but those three letters are thrown around so much that you’d be forgiven for not knowing what CBD is, exactly. More importantly, you might be wondering, is CBD safe and despite how widespread it is, CBD isn’t regulated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and more research needs to be done on its safety and effectiveness, particularly for young people. According to the FDA, there are some potential health concerns associated with CBD—ones that might not be immediately obvious to you if you take it. Still, many are using CBD, so it’s worth knowing what exactly we’re dealing with. No, it’s not marijuana, but it’s not just some made-up branded nonsense, either—as per usual, it’s a little more complicated than that. We asked experts to break down what CBD is, how it makes you feel, how you use it, the FDA’s stance, and what the compound’s future looks like. What is CBD?- CBD stands for cannabidiol, an active ingredient derived from the cannabis sativa plant that “does not cause a "high” on its own, according to Harvard Medical School. There are also over 100 biologically active chemical compounds in marijuana, CBD is just also happens to be one of them, second only to delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC-what get's you high).

Unlike THC, cannabidiol won’t cause any kind of high, whether it’s extracted from hemp or marijuana. So, while CBD ingesting certainly does not make you HIGH, it is a REMEDY PAIN SOLUTION, and may Physicians have found that CBD has helped patients find balance. “In medicine, we tend to segment sleep, stress, anxiety, and other symptoms separately, but in reality, they are all tied together. If I have a patient in chronic pain, they will not sleep well, which will lead to higher stress and anxiety levels the next day,” SO-------------> How does CBD work?

CBD works by interacting with receptors throughout the body, none of which cause a euphoria or ‘high, but generally, CBD users feel a wave of calmness, certain types of pain relief and a much better sleep.

Those receptors are part of the body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS), So now what the heck is an “endocannabinoid system”? (And why are all these words so long? lol)

The ECS is a Network of receptors all over our entire bodies—and CBD attracts many of these receptors. Mayo Clinic says, "ECS is globally involved in maintaining homeostasis in the body, connecting all of the body's organs and systems and research has found that the ECS has been implicated in a variety of ailments, from "chronic inflammatory conditions … to anxiety and migraines." While the ECS is supposed to keep your body running smoothly, it could lead to notoriously the treatment of resistant ailments like chronic migraine, fibromyalgia, and irritable bowel syndrome—but more research needs to be done.

Though lots of folks have found pain relief with CBD products, CBD generally isn’t the way to go for an instantaneous effect, but try a CBD GelCap or Tincture under your tongue, while applying CBD Direct to the painful area and in most cases, you will find relief & notice improvements.

FDA approval, research, and other sticky things about CBD

While anecdotally, I can say CBD has helped with *pain relief, *sleep, anxiety, *inflammation, *sleep deprivation and more, it’s certainly not a magic cure-all, just like other wellness products. That is why many doctors are still trying to understand how to prescribe CBD and why TALENTS, Refining, Inc. is producing the only complete package for education, as well as, and product(s) to the Physician Marketplace and the Patients they serve.

“If we had perfect research, that one would be one thing—then we could say, ‘At this dose of CBD, you might get some relief from "******."  But the lack of research on CBD use in young people, combined with the lack of regulation by the FDA, makes CBD use a whole lot more complicated than that—and that’s why teens, young adults and an overall patient population should speak to their Primary Care Physician or Specialist first if they’re interested in trying CBD. The bottom line is, navigating this murky territory can be difficult for confused consumers, Doctors, researchers, and CBD Product Providers alike. Though CBD has been on everyone's lips for a couple years now, & more research is underway, there has been a substantial amount of recent research on the potential health benefits of CBD to argue, It Doesn't Work. While the FDA has only approved the use of one CBD product to treat a specific form of childhood epilepsy, the other indications are worth trying CBD. LOOK HOW MANY VITAMINS YOU TAKE THAT DO NOTHING, and many CBD companies market their product as a supplements, which has fewer regulations than pharmaceutical products, while a prescription is not necessary, manufacturers are prohibited from making health claims. So, buyer beware ! Essentially, what an independent lab found was that the labeling on each product didn’t necessarily reflect what was in the product itself. All I can say is " WE ARE COMING TO A MARKET NEAR YOU SOON !"

Until CBD is regulated by the FDA, this will continue to be a concern further complicated by CBD’s past scheduling, or its classification depending on the drug's acceptable medical use and the drug's abuse or dependency potential. Until then, we at TALENTS will bring to you the latest findings and research for consumers, patients and Physicians. TALENTS Refinning, Inc. will produce the ONLY Pharmacist Formulated and Doctor Recommended CBD on the Market. Foolishly. until very recently, [CBD] was considered to be a Schedule 1 Drug along w HEROIN---> CRAZY RIGHT ??? “Even though CBD does not get you high—you could take gallons of it, you’re not going to get high from it—for a long, political, and complicated reason, it was lumped in with heroin.”

What next?

So, if you still plan to take it, you should talk to your doctor about the dosage, and stick to a minimum dose and go up from there. "In terms of dosing, the general rule of thumb for CBD is to take the minimum and then increase if needed, this is important since taking more CBD will not necessarily increase its potential effectiveness, just waste product." And while you may see claims are thrown around about CBD’s abilities to fix this and that; “This liberalization of cannabinoids is a good thing overall in that we have a potential new frontier for medicine, “Overall and underscore, speak to a physician before starting any sort of cannabinoid product, whether it be CBD.
