What can you commit to? Your wellbeing.
You are most likely living differently than you did a week or two ago.
For some people that means they are busier than ever - getting to grips with homeworking, trying to homeschool children, creating new ways of working and servicing clients, adjusting to self-isolation, taking care of loved ones.
Others may feel they have more time on their hands - not communiting, maybe a loss of work and income, limited social interaction and closure of facilities (such as cinemas, pubs, gyms, restaurants, etc) that may have kept them occupied.
Whatever the situation, these are unprecidented times. It's understandable to get caught up in busyness, or conversly, slump in front of Netflix. But, now more than ever you need to make time for your own wellbeing.
It's what you do EVERYDAY that is important, not what you do once in a while.
So make some commitments to yourself and your wellbeing. What can you do to ensure you are looking after yourself? These can be small things, that only take up minutes of your time, or they can be more substantial.
I have made some daily commitments, which I hope will work for me, such as:
- I will do 10,000 steps per day
- I will exercise 1 hour+ per day (in addition to the steps) - there are so many excellent and free online resources at the moment.
- I will get fresh air every day
- I will learn or do something new every day
- I will make contact with at least 3 people per day
- I will ensure I take time to acknowledge what I am grateful for
- I will plan to accomplish something every day above and beyond what I would have normally done. This could be anything from cleaning a cupboard, writing an article or finishing a task that has been on my to-do list for ages.
I may add to this list, depending upon how long we are in lockdown. I also have a to-don't list (such as limiting snacks, TV and negativity).
Give it some thought. Take care of yourself.

4 年I reckon your list will do me perfectly Diane??
Diane Law I love the "to don't" list!! By the time this lockdown is over if I don't take control I'm going to be the size of a house and I'm talking 10 bedroom mansion, not a retirement bungalow :)
