What can you achieve in a 100 days?

This spring, Bernd and I started a 100-day service. The reason was that we saw many good companies that missed the ability to execute and as a result were not reaching their full potential.

In short, the idea is a 10, the execution is a 6 (or less).

We selected 6 entrepreneurs and started coaching them. Starting with defining specifically what we wanted to achieve in 100 days.

Followed by a plan on how we were going to get there.

Each week we would have a call, where we would discuss progress (or lack of progress) and adjust direction when needed.

We nearly reached the end of the first batch of entrepreneurs. Some results/learning:

• One entrepreneur stopped. The rhythm was too much.
• One entrepreneur increased traffic and has more focus but still the results are not at the level they should and could be.
• Two entrepreneurs will reach their target and have direction and rhythm.
• Two entrepreneurs will exceed their target and are accelerating.

The conclusion is that 2/3 have more success than before and are more efficient in using time and energy.

The reasons:

1. Definition of achievable targets.
2. A boring and very clear plan.
3. Each week an accountability call (with two (grumpy) old men).

Rhythm is hard, Entrepreneurship is about consistency. Doing the same thing over and over and doing it well. With as the aim to build predictability into the business.

In September we are starting with the next 6 entrepreneurs. We have two places left.
