What can we look forward to in 2017/18?

HIA Chief Economist – Dr Harley Dale will address the first HIA Hunter economic breakfast for the year in May.

A lot has changed for the housing industry and the economy since Harley last spoke at a Hunter Industry Outlook Breakfast in March 2015. Housing is more of a mixed bag now, but conditions have certainly held up reasonably well and there are some opportunities on the horizon for 2017/18.

Harley will assess a range of factors influencing demand for new housing, renovations activity, existing property, knock-down rebuild activity and more in considering the outlook for the residential construction industry in the Hunter and Central Coast regions. He will also provide his take on the Hunter Regional Plan 2036.
