What Can I Do for You as Your Digital Marketer
My digital marketing course has come to a bittersweet end. Over the past ten weeks, I have learned more than I could imagined, from Google Analytics to Social Marketing, I have truly become a T-Shaped marketer, and am ready to find a horizontal line to specialize in. Through the assorted subjects I learned in digital marketing, I am most excited to learn more about content and inbound marketing, and how I can use SEO to optimize web searches.
So what can I really do for you as your digital marketer?
Google Analytics. Google Analytics is a marketing platform designed to help businesses find meaningful insights that will result in a more effective marketing strategy. With my knowledge in how to use and interpret the analytics, I can optimize landing pages and ad campaigns. Another feature I can analyze and enhance is the customer journey map for their online experience. Google Analytics has a shopping behavior tab where it tracks sessions with no shopping activity, no cart addition, cart abandonment, check-out abandonment, and sessions with completed transactions. Being able to know where the customer stopped in their session on your webpage is essential to know where to start solving the problem.
Content & Inbound Marketing. Content and inbound marketing are too separate subjects, but are very similar. Starting off with content marketing, I have learned that content marketing is not a way to push your company’s products, but it is a way to slowly build relationships with customers on a more personal level, in hopes that it will lead to sales in the long run. I enjoy content marketing, because it is not pushy marketing tactic, but developing high quality content that is actually valuable to your customers. On the other side, inbound marketing is used to draw visitors onto your website using two different media channels: owned media and earned media. Owned media would be media channels your business has complete control of what content is posted, this is your website, blog, or any part of the brand’s social media. This is where your content marketing will come into play, while earned media is traditional media coverage like newspapers or magazines.
Organic Social Media & Social Media. In present time, social media is a huge part of every consumer’s daily life, so it is important to know how to use it to your advantage. Organic social media is a great way to boost your brand awareness, I can do this with content marketing, sharing different posts relating to your brand, and responding to customer comments. The key with organic social media is to show your brand’s personality to make connections with your customers, this will be useful in the long run for business. Normal social media is now the modern way to advertise your promotions. On social media, you can do paid ads, this could be Google Ads, ads on any social media platform: FaceBook, Instagram, Twitter, are Snapchat are a few to name. It is important to choose the correct platform that your target audience is on. Facebook is one of the more popular options because it typically earns the highest return on investment. With FaceBook advertisements, I would be able to target your audience with their Core Audience, Customer Audiences, and Lookalike Audience features. Social media is an effective way to promote your brand to your customers, and today it is a necessity for all businesses.
SEO. Search Engine Optimisation is something all organizations should be concerned with because it is a great tool to improve website ranking, drive traffic, and increase awareness in search engines. With SEO, I can do research on keywords, link #building, how to optimize the architecture of the website with basic coding, and what content does best for your industry. A tricky part of SEO are the algorithms, algorithms work by first analyzing the search words accounting for spelling mistakes, then match the search with pages with relevant information. With knowledge on how Google’s Search Algorithms work, I can improve your website’s search ranking.
