What is a Business Model All About?
If you’re like most people, you probably define?a business model?as a company’s strategy for generating revenue. And you’re not the only one. Probably 95% of people think like that whenever I tell them about my experience as a Business Model Expert.
This article will show you that the business model is not just that. It is much more.
A business model is a strategizing tool that helps to ask questions such as when-to, why-to, when-to, what-to, whom-to, which-to, and how-to START/STOP/CONTINUE.
The tool may seem rather simplistic but it is proven and works for many of my clients and myself in both personal and business operations.
Over the years I have empowered over 200+ organizations ranging from a street vendors to a corporate employees and top government officials to develop a tool that helps stakeholders to ask the right questions whether in a meeting or doing their work.
Let me explain how 'STOP, CONTINUE, START' can help you to get accurate and faster results in the following 3 situations.
(1) Stagnation
When we're stuck it is easier to give up or find some excuse to quit, because, we do not have the right questions to ask, yet we know that asking the right questions is the right way to be unstuck. We see this happen in meetings, where problems don't get solved because the wrong questions are asked and the answers tilt more toward the blame games and excuses.
The application of the business model tool can help you ask the right questions when you need to bring an issue to closure by simply listing things/behaviors being done that are not working then proceed to interrogate using the following question prefixes. ?
(Why, Where, When, What, Whom, How) should I/We STOP?

(2) Continuity
A business model tool helps to keep you on track and maintain the same strategies that are yielding results. Successful organizations and individuals are those that understand the need to stick to what yields the results they desire because of working with a business model tool in all spheres of their operations.
A business model tool can help you ask the right questions when you want to maintain the same momentum that is yielding desired results.
(Why, Where, When, What, Whom, How) should I CONTINUE?
(3) Beginning
When you cant identify what factors are contributing to your current momentum and you feel your trajectory curve is horizontal, then that is the time to try new ideas.
This is also good planning for new ideas in order to remain competitive in the marketplace.
A business model tool can help you ask the right questions when starting afresh or testing new ideas/concepts.
