If you look back, we can see that we had gone through an age of tremendous technological advances.
The last phase of social challenges had thrown open immense opportunities for finding new ways of doing things. This had thrown open new venues for technological improvement. Many companies had understood the opportunities and made leap frog advance in technology through path breaking inventions.
Today we are in a society with increased competition and more avenues for self growth.
The business challenges have become unique and polydimensional.
We have seen lot of companies with breakthrough products but fading fast to become unknown. This testifies the fact that today opportunities cannot be utilized properly with mere technological breakthroughs.
In Modern day, business thrives and companies zoom in environments of Win-Win relationship.
So what does it mean? What breaks or makes companies of modern day?
It is nothing but employee engagement!
Employee engagement influences key aspects of business.
Brand: A sense of belonging among employees builds only through proper employee engagement.
Proper employee engagement makes employee brand and company brand identical. This makes employees to come forward and take the role of a thinking follower of the leader.
Employee owns responsibility for actions and peruses constantly the leader’s vision.
Value: Value of an organization depends on value of its employees.
Sustainability of an organization is built on sustained value of its employees. Organisations zoom ahead of others by making use of enhanced employee value.
Employee engagement can make a human resource (indeed all resources) worth or worthless.
Even worthlessness of a single employee irrespective of role can spoil value of the company.
Leadership: Good organisational leadership keeps organisations far ahead of others.
A great leader looks team as a good gear train. He/she knows that even a small gear can spikes or slowdown the gear train.
For leader to act in tandem with this philosophy, approachability is the key.
Good employee engagement keeps leaders approachable
Dream: What drives an organization decides its sustainability and growth.
Organisations need great dreams to drive them. In Organisations where employees are properly engaged, dreams trickle down. Employees see their dream in line with company’s dreams.
The result, you can imagine!
Team: .A good team is reflected by how good the links are in a strong chain.
There is only one difference between a good and a bad team. The former pass batons where as latter pass the buck.
In an organization with proper employee engagement, every individual understands his/her value. Hence they add value to the baton they pass.
How best an organisation will sustain and grow depends how best its employees are engaged!
