Last time we looked at branding and what it means. Remember we said that branding is much more than your brand identity such as your logo, colours, eve your name. Those are the face of your brand that can be used to identify them.
Each time they come in contact with different touch-points for your brand- your staff, website, business cards, fliers, adverts, office space, products, services and so on, this gives them a particular experience which creates a perception about your brand.
This therefore shows that branding is a serious project you need to engage in as a business owner, entrepreneur, activist, politician, celebrity, and what have you. Branding will differentiate you from your competition. Without branding, you keep competing in the commodity category in your industry.
There are many products in the market in different categories in different industries fighting for market share. Today sellers and business owners are beginning to embrace branding as a means to differentiate their product. All forms of marketing activities like advertising and promotions, and PR all help create this perception in the mind of your audience.
Branding gives your product an identity so that it becomes easy for your audience to make decision when it comes to buying. This is because your audience only go with your brand because of trust. People are scared of unknown brands. This allows your customers and clients to know what to expect from your brand.
