I have worked in SaaS sales for six years now. And every time we reach around this time of the year, my CEO tells us, the next year has already begun. So right now, we are told, we are already working for 2023. Because the deals we sign during this quarter set us up for our targets of next year. And I think of a lot of my goal setting in similar light. More so, in my coaching experience now.
Instead of waiting for Jan 1st, start working on your 2023 goals on 1st October. It gives you three months to give yourself a head start. That way, when you reach 1st Jan, you aren’t looking for motivation. Your proof of progress serves it on a platter and its much easier to keep going. You already have momentum!
If you’re still reading this, take a minute to think about your aspirations from 2023. Maybe you want to finally prioritize physical health or make space for mental health improvement. You have been thinking about making a career transition to a different industry or role and this feels like the year for it. Or you want this to be the year you make more money or read more books. Maybe this is the year you want to put your relationships first.
Basis your aspirations there may be different actions you need to take.
-???????Sign up for a course
-???????Ask for a raise
-???????Start a side hustle
-???????Start working with a coach
-???????Join a gym
-???????Start working with a therapist
Whatever the goal and action, don’t wait until New Year’s to start, do it this week!

1 年I left a 36 year career as a critical care nurse on September 19, 2022. I saw more death in the last 2 years of my career than I did in the total 36. Covid was cruel, not only to the patients I took care of but to the nurses that cared for them. I began to dread going to work. I had panic attacks. My mental health suffered. I was just done. I am now a Legal Nurse Consultant, starting a business of my own. It's scary as hell - no income, no lawyer/clients. I am building my network and connecting with potential clients. I am working toward my January.
