What are the Best Ways to Increase Employees' Productivity?

Being a CEO of a company, I am always curious to know the best ways to increase the productivity of my employees. The past epidemic influenced the productivity of resources at the highest level. And it compels me to find out the best solution for the same.

According to a study by experts at the University of California, every three minutes and five seconds employees are interrupted. It also takes about 23 minutes for them to refocus. Only 60% of the work time is spent on productivity.

Techniques to Raise Employees’ Productivity:?

Prioritize Health?

Obviously, when you are not well, you are at low productivity. The same applies to me and my team. Therefore, it is crucial to take care of the team members' health.

One of my friends suggested to me many ways to keep the health priority at the level. It includes conducting wellness programs, health checkups, giving nutritious snacks and refreshment. If you take such initiative there will be a good return on employee engagement and productivity.

No Pointless Meetings:?

I avoid unnecessary meetings as I found them one of the most distracting factors. As per the survey, about 15% of organizations waste time in meetings and $37 billion money gets wasted.?

I’m not against meetings, but it is good to make sure it should be meaningful. Any pointless meetings will only result in time-wasting. Also, it will hurt your team.??

Appreciate:

Appreciation is the best medicine to fill enthusiasm in someone. I still remember, during my job time, a small ambition from seniors triggered a zest in me. It happens with everyone due to our human nature.

?If you appreciate your team for their good work, it brings a new spirit with them. You can follow appreciating certificate distribution or giving rewards programs. This will bring a new refreshment into their work.

Giving Breaks/Vacation:

Studies show that employees feel more productive after their vacations. About 30% of them experienced more productivity after their holidays. Later on, they will come back with a fresh mind. I called it a refueling principle that refreshes physical vitality and mental focus.?

Therefore you can reward them with holidays or grant them leave. It will also let them feel your care. When they come back from their vacation they will surely perform better. It is because we humans need a break from our daily routines.?

Improving Physical Workplace:?

The work environment and culture have a great influence on the employees’ productivity. The surrounding noise, gossip and uninspired work environment can affect productivity. Unfortunately, many leaders don't take interest in such a concept.

You must invest in improving the physical workplace. You can renovate the office structure and look. Also, you can put indoor plants inside office. They are highly contributors to reducing stress, depression, anger and fatigue.?

Team Motivation:

Motivation is the best way to increase employee productivity. Even a small motivation can trigger the result. I usually motivate my team through general gettogether and motivating movies. This will give a different impact on the team members.??

You can take one to one meetings to motivate your resources if possible. Ask them where they are encountering an issue and offer them the suitable solution.?

Company Culture:

Companies' culture also impacts the team members. A closed culture is not a good ingredient for the team's productivity. Make sure the culture in your company should be open and friendly.?

An excessive close culture can affect communication. When they are open with each other, it will bring an effective collaboration. That's one of the most important factors in increasing productivity. The company's culture varies from company to company. It is mostly seen in the IT sector in any website development company.?

Final Words:

Employees’ productivity matters a lot for an organization. It is a pillar of the company's success. This is why I keep a special focus on it. I tried and experimented with many solutions to keep the productivity upto the mark. You have to make little effort and expenditure. However, it will give you a good return on investment.??
