• 'Finsta' are going official: This new feature is called 'Flipside' on Instagram. [Reminder: Finsta is short for 'Fake Instagram,' referring to an account created to share photo and interact with other accounts more privately, limiting followers to close friends only.] The "Flipside" feature will then allow users to create a private side to their profile without the need for a new account. They can share more candid and personal photos with a select group of friends through a private feed reserved for friends only - I was talking about it a while ago.
• Also, a new feature called 'Made for you,' which automatically creates Reels from your photos and videos
• Adam Mosseri announced testing 'Notes Prompts': a new way to create a Note that should encourage others to engage in conversation
• Instagram is also working on the ability to translate the audio of Reels using AI-powered dubbing
• Now, we can add polls to our posts on the Instagram's feed

• Meta will soon allow European users to unlink their Instagram, Facebook, and Messenger accounts

• TikTok is testing 30-minutes videos
• There's a new 'Cutout' feature that allows background modification in videos
• ... and now it will be possible to change backgrounds during live streams as well
• TikTok has removed the requirement of having 1,000 followers to go live, but you'll need to prove you're a 'good' livestreamer on another platform to gain access
• The auto-scroll feature is now launched and accessible to everyone: to activate it, you need to press and hold your finger on a video in the main feed - and choose 'auto-scroll

• Byte Dance is working on text generation in videos with a project called MagicVideo-V2, currently in beta, the results are quite impressive
• The company is attempting to revive its Lemon8 app by paying influencers to boost the app

What is the best time to post on Instagram? What day will I have the most success on TikTok? The kind of questions that come back every year when creating content. We're tackling the issue, and the question is not quickly answered, far from it!

Well, you know me, I'm anti-bullshit.

So, I'm not going to make you dream and bring you a miracle solution like you see everywhere.

No, because none of these miracle solutions work.

We've all tested them at some point, and we realize that all these pseudo-magical solutions don't work.

It's not that they are entirely false.

But each time, we are given a solution that supposed to boost us.

Except that each case is unique, and one should not expect real results if the solution is not adapted to one's own case.

So, a big disclaimer before we start: I'm giving you an answer here on the best times to post on social media, but keep in mind that it's based on general analyses, and you should then adapt it to your own case.

What does that mean in practice?

It means you shouldn't be lazy and that you need to test and adjust based on the results.

But once again, I insist, these are general answers, based on analyses done on thousands of accounts.

Not that it's false, but it will vary from one case to another.

So it's important to have this general idea, but then you need to test and adapt.

Your audience won't have the same habits if you post tech videos or sewing tips.

Well, yes, it seems logical, but these are two different target audiences that won't necessarily connect at the same times.

So, start with this base in terms of time and day, see how it reacts with your audience, and adapt if the results aren't great.

And keep in mind these 3 tips:

• The type of content must be adapted to the platform: you won't post the same type of content on X or TikTok. I still see too many people looking for 'lazy' solutions by wanting to post the same content at the same time on all platforms.
• Each platform has algorithms that work differently: on TikTok, it's important to post at the precise time when your target audience is likely to be online because the algorithm will show your video to the audience right after uploading. Whereas on YouTube, you need to publish a few hours before the time you want it to be visible to your audience, so the algorithm has time to index it.
• Have fun: I repeat it every time, but it's certainly the most important criterion. If you're not having fun, if you're not enjoying what you're doing, don't expect your audience to enjoy it – it's logical.
