What Is The Best Hosting Service For WordPress?
I was asking this question for so long, after a few testings and trials over the years, I could finally find a solution.
All hosts have prons end cons and this depends on what do you want for your website.
In this article I'm sharing my own experiences with:
Bluehost Shared Hosting For Wordpress
Period I used: For a few years, while I was starting out, messing with blogging.
If you are blogging for fun or just starting out, a shared host such as Bluehost will work for you.
I used Bluehost myself in the beginning and it was somewhat cheap and the support is just amazing.
The problem with Bluehost is that your site may become slower at the peace you gain traffic and add more content to it.
In the first opportunity, when I saw that it was becoming really hard to keep my site fast, I moved to Cloudways.
Bluehost Pros
Cons
Cloudways Via Vuptr
Period I used: More or less 10 months
Cloudways is a great server for wordpress hosting. I really liked it.
It's somewhat fast enough and the price is is just on the fair side.
One thing that temped me to migrate to them were the many reviews all over the internet saying they were fast.
On their website they say this too. They aim for speed, which may be true, but I am not really sure about it.
My site was mmedium sized and I could not achieve great site speed hosting on cloudways.
It was somewhat fast but not enough. Apart from that, I still can say it was a good experience.
My site worked well, I never experienced down time.
The support was ok. I am not going to say it was great. For many times I noticed support agents were uninterested to help.
But for most parts it worked ok.
NOTE: If you are asking why I talk so much about site speed, it is because Google now is being very strict with site speed. Velocity is now a huge factor for ranking on the first page of goole, and in June 2021 there was a google update penalizing sites for being slow. So, speed is huge these days, as google is now putting lots of attention to what they call "the user experience update", which primaly focus on SPEED.
Cloudways Pros
Cloudways Cons
Kinsta WebHost - Via GoogleCloud
Time I used: a few months and this is what I am using at the moment.
Status: The best of them all
Right After CLoudways, my site started to grow more and I moved to Kinsta Webhosting.
I heard Kinsta was a super fast server so I decided to try this out.
Straight away I could see Kinsta had excellent support. I mean they have the best support I could ever imagined.
I need to say that in the beginning, after 2 months, I didn't see much of improvements.

For aproximatelly 2 months I thgouth I was having the same type of performance I had on cloudways.
I was confused, because I was paying about 21USD on cloudways, while Kinsta costs 100USD/month for having the same result.
Because Of this, I decided to try another hosting service.
I heard somewhere that Siteground was the way to go so I decided to migrate my site again.
The plan was 100USD as well, so I would pay the same as I was paying.
While moving to Siteground, it was a dissaster.
Even though I paid for a site migration, the site was offline for so long and support was terrible.
They simply didn't know how to fix the issue and were blaming on kinsta.
Siteground told me to contacted kinsta to explain what happened and ask for their help.
At kinsta support, they said, even thought Siteground should be able to fix it, they would help you with the issue.
I spent a few instants with the kinsta guys while talking to siteground support at the sametime.
The guys on kinsta spoted the problem straight away and helped me fix it in no time.
Guess what?
It had nothing to do with Kinsta server, but it was a simple mistake from a configuration someone on Siteground instructed me to do.
Does that make sense?
Well After that, I decided to return to kinsta, just for the stability and great support with guys that really know what they are doing.
At least I would have my site stable again untill I could figure out what to do.
Once I went back to kinsta I decided to work harder on site speed, and I could finaly figure out how to make my site fast.
Note: Let me know in the comments if you want me to talk more about site speed in the future!
Spent some days and nights doing my research and within one month, I was able to see my site performing its best even with ads, under Kista hosting.
Now I can say that kinsta is the best hosting I've used. I am still with them and planning to continue.
WHy?
Cons
Is a webhosting all that is needed for a fast site? No, this is just the beginning, but if you are serious about blogging, you must have a stable fast hosting plan.
There are much more on website optmization for speed and I have my secret souces that I am still not ready to share, but here you have an idea.
What Happened To SiteGround?
Site ground was a big mess. Support was not really willing to help, they would blame other services and pass from one support agent to another.
Don't get me wrong. I have heard some people swear out loud they love SiteGround but it didn't work for me.
After I returned to Kinsta, I asked for the refund, because I was under the 30 days money back policy.
In fact it took me just a few days to realise it was not a good move.
They promptly issued the refund and everything was ok.
