What is Bayesian Statistics?

Bayesian statistics combines prior knowledge with new evidence to update beliefs about the probability of a hypothesis. Unlike frequentist statistics, which focuses on event frequencies, Bayesian statistics considers personal beliefs in events, such as predicting the outcome of a political election.
