What is Balance "to you"?

Don’t pursue “work life balance”, don’t “pursue”, just live balancedly in all things. When all things are balanced, everything is balanced, and nothing can go wrong! It takes a lot to realise and see this, because this is not philosophical, this is the epiphany through real and practical life.

If I have to put three words on the scale, it must be “Mind, Body, Spirit”, why? Because when you have the Balance of mind and the Balance of Spirit, you will get the balance of Body ……. these three are independent, yet co-relating.

From the science aspect, the brain is the mechanism of thinking (the physical part) the mind is the process of thinking (the invisible part), and the thoughts are the outcomes as in opinions, judgment, critics, etc. Being too subjective is a sign of “self-focused” and being too objective is a sign of no focus. We do need to have a balance here.?

When I was younger, I tended to be very confident. Yes, the problem is “very”.- "too much" is extreme, and is not balance. The truth is, nothing is absolute – you can be confident but remain the door of curiosity open, be open to listen for more and further, the stories behind the scenes that could alter the charts of probabilities or impossibilities. Don’t have the mindset of “I am absolutely sure”, be open, give yourself a chance to prove yourself wrong, even you think you are absolutely right; the point is “nothing is absolute”.?

Spirit is the guardian of the heart. I have witnessed in all my life, people who have pure and clean spirits, are the true angels – beautiful and simple. However, wisdom is the fruit of matured spirit. A matured spirit is subtle, calm, serene and subsided – the fruit is “peace”. Despite, we still need to be balanced in spirit, why? Because the spirit is living in a human body, and this human body is living in the world that full of all other human bodies. The balance is “NOT to detach from the reality”!?

Our brains work best under a calm and serene state because at this state, emotion chemicals and cortisol hormones will not be triggered – otherwise, our brains could get in “fight or flight” mode or chronic stress will be built up. Science has proven that most diseases and illnesses are the outcomes of the vicious cycles of emotion chemicals and cortisol hormones. Therefore, the balance of Mind and Spirit creates the balance for the intrinsic body world.?

Most people talk about the “style” (lifestyle or work style), this is the wrong focus – don’t let the STYLE or any ways and means drive you, just maintain a good balance in all things. Most people told me: just tell me what to do, I wish things could be so simple, the truth is: You can’t do it or keep it if you don’t understand - when you don’t understand, you won’t believe firmly, when you don’t believe firmly, you can’t hold it nor keep up with it. It's the power of belief that produces tenacity and determination, and it's the tenacity and determination that produce the power of discipline.

I like this article, It is well said. We must be in a serene, clam and peaceful situation in order for our brain to function well. Some people can't see the point, they are too confidence and always think that they are right and ignore other people feeling, look down on people and worst step on others in order to grow. You will always see this type of employee in a corporate world. After learning from you, I try to balance myself in mind, body and spirit to eliminate negative thoughts and feelings.
