What is Apple's new 'Business Chat'? - Rolling out with iOS 11

Not announced at WWDC 2017, but Apple silently announced a new service ‘Business Chat’ on a new page on the Apple’s Developer website. This new service will be operational on all platforms like iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. This is an attempt from Apple to enter into the space of offering customer service and performing transactions, where Twitter and Facebook are dominating as of now.

Business Chat will be integrated with iOS 11. With this feature, businesses can have a chat through iMessenger while using Maps, Safari, Siri, Spotlight, etc. By introducing Business Chat Apple is bringing customer service and also transactions to iMessenger.

Business Chat will also be released with iOS 11. For developers to try and integrate Business Chat into apps for iOS 11, “Business Chat Developer Preview” has been rolled out.
