What am I up to these days?

Hello everyone, its been interesting to say the least but I hope that with this newsletter I can provide some insight on where I am and what I am up to these days.

First things first, to all the friends and contacts I have thank you ever so much for checking in and taking time to read through this. I hope not to bore you too much.

1) Pivoting around Ubuntu Basketball

• Basketball Scouting - Euroleague Filmroom: I had always pondered about why there was no such content around this and I finally decided to take a step to dig more into this space. I finally got around to placing a specific youtube channel up and running for this. Low and behold your response has been amazing!

I got +1200 subscribers and am doing my best to post daily insight on my perspective on players, some insights on the teams and some insight on the Euroeleague with a bit of twist on how I see things. If you have not already have a look and more sure to tap in.

The Scouting vidoes, the NBA Talk, Euroball Talk and Player Talk are some of the material you'll find on the channel.

• Ubuntu Basketball - the website: well this has been no less than amazing too. It took me some time to pivot around this but I had meant to do it and so I did!

Advance Pro Basketball was old news and it had begun to become no different that what was already out there and I had to re-define the niche I was looking at getting back into and for that reason a revamp or rather a rebrand was about time. Hence the new name, trademark and insight.

Boom! Ubuntu Basketball (the site) All the work I had done prior to InStat in terms of player advise, the chalk board material and and everything I rolled into one and have now in one place online! Added to all that I also did a Udemy course that can be found through the site as well.

• Personal Training for pro's and others. I finally have been getting back on court with players in and around and its been amazing. Thanks to all the people that have been supporting me with this and I am thankful for it. Anyone want more insight on this, I am open to share this privately.
• Partnerships and consultancies: I also have been busy and doing my best to keep the partnerships and assisting certain companies that I have had a solid communication with in the past.

ON A WHOLE OTHER LEVEL

For those that are also checking out my socials, I do a mean bit of work with video and AI tools so let it not surprise you the level of work I put in into all that stuff too. I thought I would make it worth my while and if anyone is interested in my skills in those regards you are more than welcome to check out my fiverr gigs here: Fiverr (I'll be honest I am pretty new at this so please take it easy but I'll always give it a solid go.)

Stuff with Apollo Amsterdam Basketball and the Pro team, I love doing all that and thankful for the club, the coaching staff the players and the whole environment as far as I can take it in.

I am talking to my NBA people regardless and always enjoy things that happen in the league and while this season is already fully underway and we are nearing the All-Star weekend. If I do find something for next season I'll let you all know.

I also have been busy trying to get a corporate-level job with little to no success on that side of things. It appears that much of my prior experience is either too specific to make a point or does not appear to be transferable according to those gatekeeping HR personnel or acting hiring managers. I do find it odd that with over two decades of experience in helping out businesses with sales, business development, and management skills, I'd be able to figure some things out, but it seems like that's not the case. I am keeping my hopes up on this end and I will keep on applying to what I do see fit but if anyone in my network thinks that there is anything out there that could be interesting I always appreciate the assist to a solid layup ;)

I am thankful to be where I am and I have a loving family that support me. I do hope to be in a better place the near future.
