What is the Alabama Academy of Honor?

This academy is located in Montgomery, Alabama.?It was established to honor and recognize living Alabamians for their outstanding accomplishments and service.?This primarily about recognizing living individuals but there is a list of deceased individuals provided on the website.?It also has a list of deceased individuals who are members of this academy.?The Academy had their first induction ceremony in 2004 and has had several induction ceremonies since that time.

This is just one example of states recognizing their citizens for their accomplishments and service.?Today there are hundreds if not thousands who do their best to make their states proud of whom they are.?We as a country and as citizens of our individual states need to recognize individuals for what they do in our respective states.?I am happy and proud to recognize this effort by Alabama to create such recognition activity.?
