What Air2Water startups and companies are missing: money and awareness.

Both and more are available at competitions.
The Grand PrixImpact for example - a competition to accelerate ecological change in 10 categories: circular economy and recycling; Biodiversity; Sustainable Building; agriculture and nutrition; Water; Energy; mobility and transport, sustainable finance; responsible digitalization; Ocean, sea and coast.
In 2023 Agua de Sol was voted into the top 10 in the “Water” category – and the decisions will be made tomorrow, but Agua de Sol has already won today:
In addition to prize money, practically all competition organizers offer the opportunity to exchange ideas with successful companies, with investors, coaches, innovators, like-minded people - and this is always an opportunity to better assess yourself.
So, it's not just the prize money won so far that makes such competitions valuable for Agua de Sol: " We want to learn from others and we want to be perceived as an ambassador for the water from the air industry.” says Agua de Sol CEO Luc Métivier.
Agua de Sol expects great chances of success tomorrow at the Grand PrixImpact 2023, because the criteria that the jurors will “examine with particular attention” looks like tailor-made for Agua de Sol and the “SunAir Fountain”.
The criteria:
Corporate social responsibility – Agua de Sol takes on the path to becoming a B company, an “ethical company” that is not just for profit; the influence/impact of its actions on society and the environment is equally important to management and the company.
Ecological footprint – Agua de Sol’s product and company processes are characterized by the lowest possible CO2 footprint. Only a few relevant parts are produced centrally in France; The majority is procured and assembled in the area of operation. This ensures jobs, know-how as well as greater added value and local acceptance - with a significantly low CO2 footprint.
Innovation – low tech for the highest demands: clear, tasty water for as many people as possible.
Sustainability - clean drinking water, where it is needed and without infrastructure.
Potential for a change in size – the SunAir Fountain is a solution for around half of humanity: for people who have to get their water from wells, rivers, tankers* - and for those who think they have to drink water only out of plastic bottles.
* The United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals are the blueprint for a better and more sustainable future for all. Goal No. 6 calls for sanitation and sustainable, reliable access to clean water for all. Conventional methods cannot achieve this.
During the gala awards ceremony, the audience will choose the overall winner of the Impact Grand Prize 2023 out of the ten category winners selected by the jury. Our message: Obtaining water from the air through the power of the sun will make a huge contribution to many people reliably to provide clean drinking water.
