All about agile project management and how it could help you on your projects!
Are you confused about agile project management and what it can be used for?
As with anything else, there are both benefits and pitfalls to using agile project management. And before deciding what methodology to use on your projects, it’s important that you understand what agile methodology is and advantages and disadvantages that come along with it.
What is agile project management?
Agile is a framework for delivering products quickly and efficiently. Agile project management takes an iterative approach when it comes to executing those items within your project framework.
What does this mean?
Every project, within its life cycle of execution, has a standard sequence of plan, build, test, review, and launch.
The big difference with the agile iteration approach is that instead of moving from task to task until you have it all done, it does these smaller sections by taking one or two items and putting it through the process: plan, build, test, review, and launch.
The benefit of doing this is that it eliminates having to rework things in the end. If you build everything at once and then test it and realize there is something wrong, you’ll have to go back and rebuild everything. But if you just do it in small parts, you’re saving yourself a lot of work down the road.

Benefits of Agile Project Management
It’s important to note that agile was born in the software industry as a way of having quicker and better output with less rework. However, many other sectors are now adopting this concept.
One big advantage is that because of the iteration approach, items being developed often end up being better quality because of this really focused technique.
Another advantage is that agile often improves higher customer satisfaction because with the smaller iterations, if they end up wanting to change something, it’s not as big a deal as if you had to then totally rebuild and redo a massive part of the project.
