Modi claims victory in India’s election but drop in support forces him to rely on coalition partners

India's incumbent Prime Minister Narendra Modi will stay in power for a third five-year term…but the results were nowhere close to the landslide results he was projecting.

Perhaps, after a decade in power, there Modi fatigue is starting to set in.

Worth noting: the election in the world’s largest democracy went smoothly and is respected as legitimate by its citizens.

Ukraine uses US weapons to strike inside Russia, according to a senator and a Western official

You might be wondering why it took the Biden Administration so long to allow Ukraine to use US weapons inside Russia.

The dynamics of the war have changed. Here's what mattered at the start of the war, in descending order of priority:

• expectations that Ukraine was going to continue to succeed on the battlefield without it
• coordination with a large number of NATO allies who opposed the move
• fears of Russian escalation

White House again forced into damage control effort to dispel concerns about Biden’s age

The Biden Administration had no choice but to respond to this week’s Wall Street Journal article titled, “Behind Closed Doors, Biden Shows Signs of Slipping.”

Do I agree that Biden is way too old to run for president? Yes.
