What Activities Appeal to You?
Nancy Zare Ph.D.
Coaches hire me to enroll more clients because they dislike exaggerated marketing claims and sleazy sales tactics. I show them how to generate warm leads and convert 50% of prospects into clients.
Happy Memorial Day Weekend!
Summertime means long days, extra daylight, and warmer temperatures. This combination is poised to encourage people to get out and be active. Have you ever thought about the fact that different personality styles are drawn to different activities?
Water skiing, parachuting, hangliding, bungee jumping and other thrill-seeking adventures appeal to the person who is quick to make decisions. This person values freedom, taking risks, and capitalizing on opportunities.
In contrast, gardening, fishing, and lap swimming tend to attract people who appreciate their own company. This person values information, problem-solving, and learning.
Mountain climbing, camping, and beach volleyball are enjoyed by people who like being part of a group. They value relationships, connections, and contributing to the greater good.
Consider this short list: walking a trail, taking a guided tour, and participating on a sunset cruise. What these activities have in common is their appeal to the person who values orderliness, routine, and following a plan.
How people make buying decisions shows up in many dimensions of their lives. Hobbies and leisure activities can reveal someone’s buying style. By identifying it, you have an edge in building rapport and getting more business.
What’s your favorite summertime activity?
