What the 12X-Future Education Looks Like?

NOTE: The following article is adapted from my email sent to the President of a University at 10/09/2022.

Thank you for your great service to ~, keeping her as an outstanding leader in education.

I graduated from Georgia Tech with my Ph.D. in Systems Biology/Bioinformatics, published 5 papers as 1st author and won a National BioMed Fellowship to go to Yale for 3 years to?design better vaccines.? Started with hope and ambitions, 4 years later, I left academics, wanting to reinvent myself but ended up driving a Lyft?and transporting railroad workers during 12am-5am for months to feed my family and?kids. 3 more years fast forward, I am now a principal data scientist working for a biotech company in the SF?Bay. This moment, I am ready to reinvent myself again. But this time only to turn all the pains I personally experienced and observed, into?super-power for each learner & leader.? ?

What are the biggest problems in education today? To me, it's that

- most people's knowledge acquisition rate and skills growth rate is linear but the knowledge degradation rate is exponential in the face of global knowledge expand exponentially. Therefore, when one is graduated from school (college, graduate school), half of what one learned is barely relevant to one's job requirements. There is a huge delay, disconnection, disorientation?between one's education and one's pursue in career.

- under the high pressure of demand::supply imbalance, most people are reacting concerning what to learn, why to learn & how to learn, resulting in even more down-spiral competency. A significant symptom is that a huge portion of people for a huge percent of their career rest in exchange for $$, with low satisfaction, creativity and productivity, according to stat.

My mission is to bring a total makeover to this tragedy. The results will look like in 36 months:

Each person is inspired and enabled to live a 12X-Future powered life: happy, productive, creative, full of purpose, meaning, with abundant help and hope to solve essential problems one discover & one is facing.

- Example1: a learner's job readiness jumps started from day 1 in school (college, grad school) NOT day -1; instead of applying for 100 jobs and get 1 offer, one just need to apply for 5 jobs and get one offer (of the dream-come-true kind)

- Example2: company's hiring cost is no longer giving 1 offer out of screening 100 candidates, but giving out 1 offer out of 5? candidates selected for in person interview. (My personal experience: out of 200 applicants 20 selected for in personal interview; out 20 of in-person interviewers 1 offer rendered.)

- Example 3: each company no longer struggles with turn over rate: whoever got hired and works for the company, their 2nd brain trained during that employment is kept and continue to serve the company's long term mission even after the employer leave.

Everyone should be re-inventing oneself! What if these re-inventions are well designed & coordinated, with crystal clear purpose & goals, milestones & metrics, connections & confluence of wisdom (of the crowd), and powered by the streams of FIRE = Friendship Inspiration Reflection Entrepreneurship
