WFH! Providing a positive remote experience to clients..
It's been a week since we at The DLC have resorted to WFH (Working From Home)- probably the most widely used acronym these days. However, one week into working remotely has made us realise that thanks to technology, working remotely as a lawyer has never been easier!
- We are continuing to draft and review legal documents as usual. Most of the times execution can be carried out via electronic signatures, thereby eliminating the need to execute physical copies.
- Our cloud based case management system (Clio) is helping us complete most of our tasks remotely without compromising confidentiality and data security. The cloud based system makes it possible for us to store client files securely, access documents remotely, communicate with clients through a secure portal and share paperless invoices online. A big shout out to Clio for helping us power through efficiently and for enabling us to continue offering a positive experience to our clients :)
- Whether it is for consultations or for meetings we continue to remain accessible via the telephone and/or video meetings. Also using these tools to liaise internally with team members ensures that productivity is monitored and remains un-interrupted.
- Last but not the least, the silver lining to working remotely is that it saves commute time- which we are (or at least trying to ;)) dedicate towards fitness and yoga... because- fitter and fresher lawyers = better work = happier clients :)
To those of us used to working from office premises WFH may sound like an unfortunate situation. However the art of maximising the potential of digital tools and technology coupled with a positive attitude can help us provide a great remote experience to our clients :)
