WFH will make India Rich

WFH will make India Rich

The Agenda

[Narrator ]

Hey, What's up hope you are happily working WFH or hybrid not to offend the office goers but come on who likes 3 hours of commute anyway anyday. I have put together this article for peeps thinking about how WFH changes the world ?

In the next few lines, I have also summed up what this article is about

--

To sum up all of the articles in one line I dare say WFH will make India rich

If you look at some of the richest countries out there, there is huge participation of women in the workforce out there

India is still to realize that only about 30% of women are in the workforce

The Reasons

The Balancing Act -

There are several reasons which contribute to this disparity a major one being maintaining a balancing act between a functional family & job.

The Mindset -

The mindset that women are homemakers stops a few of them from getting jobs.

The career of choice

A considerable amount of women can be seen working in the field of academics specifically teaching which grants them the power to look after a job & a family.

It is pretty hard work and a teacher ends up working around the clock a lot of times (been there and done that ) but again the nature of timings allows a hybrid kind of culture.

Representation of women workforce in teaching is considerably more than men.

cigs in Style

Story of a Cigratte company

From social taboo to “torch of freedom”: the marketing of cigarettes to women

[narrator]

Not gonna give you the whole story but this is what inspired me to write this article in some sense and think of how WFH changed the world to be a better place with more hobbies and happiness

--

Anyway the story is simple A tobacco company wanted to expand and sell more cigs but at that time men were their main consumers and they already captured the market

So what do they do? you know right capture the other half of the market the females.

Cigs were marketed as a kind of symbol of freedom a symbol to rebel against societal norms hence they took the bait and cigs are addictive AF to that creating reoccurring customers with a one-time CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost ).

Why This story

Think about the growth of the cig company ? Would it be tremendous ?

yess 100%

just imagine their market size doubled. How crazy is that?

Imagine the workforce doubling with the crazy numbers of the population in India.

Conclusion

I will conclude this article by saying that even if WFH brings in 10% more women into the workforce

The numbers are crazy

Considering WFH jobs are mostly jobs that require knowledge workers which mean most of em are decently paying jobs and this is what can make a difference to the Indian Economy

Belief

It sounds all too good to be true a crazy belief but I wanted to flex my thinking muscles and think it loud
