We've Lost Our Moral Compass

We've Lost Our Moral Compass

Regardless of who is sworn in as president or who wins the two senate seats, the last four years has caused the demise of much of what once made us the greatest country in the world. I have become totally ambivalent for the first time in my life.

We have never disrespected the office of the President in front of the world, regardless who it was. We have never seen the reprehensible vitriol that the House and Senate have spewed. We have never promoted shredding our Constitution to promote socialism. We have never had a President that generated outright hate of the person, not the position. We no longer have a benchmark for what is truth and what is opinion.

We have allowed our system of education to stop teaching American History and Civics. We have allowed the creation of sanctuary cities and states. We are defaming our men and women of law enforcement. We blame climate change for every natural disaster. We have changed the ten commandments to the 10 suggestions. Real journalism died with Walter Cronkite.

If this civil and moral decay continues, we will be in another civil war within a decade.
