Not much sleep last night after reading for too long (until 1am) and then waking at 5am - already thinking about the @rightsignal VP and how we can make that crystal clear to consumers (people!), property agents, landlords and property developers.
A key takeout from Matthew Syed's book* (Rebel Ideas) is that if you have something, you're blind** to it. So if you've got great fibre connection at home, you're blind to the problems it would cause if you had poor connectivity. If you've got decent mobile coverage at home (and 33% of UK people don't), you don't realise just how problematic life would be if you didn't.
*Read it. It's good ??
**Take this example. You only really realise how inaccessible railway stations are to wheelchairs when you're carrying a push bike (or a pram) up and down multiple flights of stairs ???♀?
So back to the issue. How should all companies make their VP crystal clear to users? It is by 'seeing' ?? the 'real' issues for yourself? And then articulating how you can stop this issues occurring? I think it is ?
I'd love to take all the credit for the graphic (above) but I can't.
More from me and rightsignal early next week as we get ready for MVP+ and make our service even better.
