Summer cut flowers such as Antirrhinum (snapdragon) and Helianthus (sunflower) are of course a must in bouquets and floral arrangements during the warm season. "For other crops, however, the rather wet and cold weather in May and June put the brakes on larger quantities and stem lengths," explains Paul Seelen, who is responsible for summer cut flowers at Bloomways. "Together with our growers, we are therefore hoping for warmer and more stable weather in the coming weeks."

Tobias Pinsdorf from Pinsdorf Flowers GbR in Alfter also has a two-part summary of the interim conclusion on the summer pruning season so far is twofold.
