The West's Descent Into Darkness

We (the UK) really have become the malicious serf of an evil empire.

We have gone beyond 'ethical self-interest', 'honourable competition', and have long been engaged in a world of 'spin' and 'optics' to sell the public a fraudulent narrative, a policy going back at least to 1990, but most egregiously in WMD and the War of Terror.

That policy of misrepresentation, of shutting down challenges to the narrative, peaked (or so I'd imagined) during cvd... but I am seeing an entirely new level of vitriol as we are back to war.

Naturally, MSM has airbrushed out the west's role in preparing Ukraine to be an antagonist to Russia (Maidan, 2014, Nuland, McCain, Biden).

Naturally MSM has airbrushed out the arming, training of Ukrainian military and right-wing militias with a vicious hatred of Russia - with some reason, given Stalin and Holodomor.

When you give someone a gun who hates their neighbour, and they shoot that neighbour's friends and family, are you surprised?

Or is it convenient, when you too hate that neighbour?

For some American zealots, 'competition' is the euphemism of insisting that the US be #1 at all costs.

For others, it is more personal. Their ideological allegiance is to the middle east, but their ancestral home and ancestral hatred is Russia, which they fled.

Between American Exceptionalism and the Russian exodus, arming Ukraine and watching her kill ethnic-Russian Ukrainians was ideal.

Once Putin responded - as the British did to the IRA and the Americans to 9/11 - all MSM had to do was airbrush out the west's role (a role recommended by Rand, 2019 - sanctions and arming Ukraine, but frankly, 2014, it was already done) - and they could go "See! See! Our neighbour's a madman!" when he comes out with a shotgun.

There is no 'live and let live' for American zealots.

There is only competition. Victory at all costs.

If there's a nation out there that has something they want and which still has some independence from them (Middle East, Russia, China), it must be taken down.

It isn't 'promoting democracy'. It is promoting destruction and chaos.

If the American/UK/EU carpetbaggers can profit, wonderful. If not, an enemy has still been weakened.

And the American oligarchs, American corporations, American politicians, they're all richer.

It's only the ordinary Ukrainians, the ordinary westerners, the ordinary Americans who suffer.

But in a truly heart-breaking Orwellian twist, they are the most ardent supporters of their elite.

That sociopathic, narcissistic mindset that allows the western leaders (maybe all leaders) to operate in that fashion is why I say we are descending into evil, not to mention WW4.

(WW3 was the global operation against the people in the name of - as Bill Gates put it recently - something "a bit like flu, but different").
