In 2011 Westlab introduced its Projects division as a way to leverage the extensive knowledge in the laboratory industry and deliver further value to clients. Westlab’s Projects division focuses on providing organisations with modular furniture and joinery solutions.

Our track record covers 309 projects across a wide range of sectors including universities, school science and STEM facilities, TAFE, quality assurance, research facilities, pathology, life sciences and physical testing laboratories.

Westlab’s laboratory joinery solutions are primarily specified through architecture and construction firms. In addition, we can also work directly with clients to create and deliver outstanding laboratory spaces. 

Our in-depth knowledge of the laboratory industry coupled with our capabilities allows us to not only create efficient laboratory designs but also to deliver projects on-time and within budget.

Consultancy: We know that not all laboratories are the same. That’s why our design consultants meet with clients to fully understand how the laboratories will be used (purpose) as well as the project requirements and constraints.

Strategy & Design: Our drafting and design consultants get together to develop practical workflows that are fully compliant with relevant Australian standards. Using our online 3D Design platform, the team brings to life the layout concepts.

Manufacturing: Westlab manufactures both in-house and through a network of local and global partners to ensure quality and assist with the reduction of manufacturing and transport downtime. Our ISO 9001 certification means we have all the processes in place to guarantee quality and timely outcomes.

Project Delivery - We have dedicated Project Managers that oversee and conduct quality control checks at every stage of the projects cycle. We collaborate with clients to ensure a fast and hassle-free hand over with minimal downtime.
