WESTERN NEW YORK STARTUP LAUNCHES PARTNERSHIP WITH 211

WellConnected helps 211 create first-of-its-kind regional social care network

BUFFALO, NY, February 16, 2022 — WellConnected, the developers behind the first centralized social care platform, allco, and 211 of Western New York have announced a partnership that sees 211WNY now use allco as its exclusive intake and referral system technology.

Launched in summer 2021, following two years of development and support from Healthy Community Alliance, Health Foundation for Western and Central New York, and 12 other local social care agencies, allco is a technology solution that changes the way communities share resources and information to help maximize health equities and lived social impact. WellConnected’s vision and development stemmed from a need for an all-in-one digital solution that bridges communication gaps in care and creates better collaboration across community-based organizations, community members, and funding agencies.

“allco uses modern technology to expand the equity and access of all community resources and services historically only available to 211 call centers,” Duane Conners, co-founder and CEO of WellConnected, said. “This partnership with 211 of Western New York lays the foundation for our entire region to provide improved service coordination and collaborative community care.”??

On 211 Day (2/11/2022), 211WNY began a new chapter of service by switching to allco, closing the communication loop between community agency and callers. Individuals can dial 211 to talk to a trained referral specialist who will identify services that meet their need. These services include basic needs, food assistance, free tax preparation, Covid-19 support, housing, job training, legal counseling, mental health services, substance abuse services, volunteer opportunities, and more.
