Western Media’s toxicity in the name of Freedom of Speech

Western media has always had a nasty way of getting audience and reach. All they care about is getting more money even if it means sharing fake news and defamatory content. It is time to realize this and call it out. What western media has been constantly doing is just spreading hate, numbness, and misinformation in the name of Freedom of Speech. We all know the phrase, “Pen is mightier than the sword”. They are using their pens to manipulate people’s minds even at the cost of other people’s lives.?This way of brainwashing people has to stop, and it can only be done by raising awareness.

It is very important you just read what I am sharing next. Please see how much hatred and ignorance is there instilled by Western media as young girls in United Kingdom desecrate a baby’s grave and record it. In Germany, they vandalize children’s graves. Is this what you call as living a better life, a one without morals and respect? Is this what you are taught? Just because some ancestors looted and enslaved people, you think it gives you the right to look down on others, even not respect the dead. If their government, media, and the rest of the population did not garnish so much hate, spread so much hate, then maybe a baby’s grave, a baby’s dead body won’t be desecrated. I am sorry but I do not buy this that their government and media are not behind it. Actually, they are probably supporting, or else please justify these actions. A person cannot wake up one day and decide that he/she will start hating on someone. To be honest, nobody is born with this much hate. What needs more focus and awareness is how Western media simply downplays the loss of lives of people of color, of people of different faith. It is awfully triggering.

See below, ask yourself why is the headline not calling out their white child that abused and murdered this child? Instead the Western media tactfully protected yet another white criminal and painted as if it was done “accidentally”. You think if a person of color was responsible, he/she would be protected this way? That white criminal, no matter what her age is, needed to be called out in the headline but nope.

Recently the Netflix show “Meghan and Harry” have brought attention to the lows the Western media will go to. The catchy use of headlines on their tabloids to make people turn their necks to read and get more information is just the start. Within the article, they also use images and satire, at times triggering to just get ahead on their agenda. They do not care if it comes at the cost of someone’s life, privacy, or anything. Just for Duchess Meghan Markle’s case, she became a mom, and yet they were mentioning horrible headlines targeting her. At times some individuals even threatened her life. She became the target of Western media, and cheers to her as she did not back down. The way western tabloids harmed her reputation, her family life, her pregnancy, her mental health is just the tip of the iceberg. But she brought attention to this issue and started a movement.

What you need to see if when their white Kate Middleton did similar things to Meghan Markle, they did not put it negatively. The moment an interracial person or a person of color comes into the equation, they just have to twist everything to make it look negative. That is Western media at its finest.

Let’s see how this FIFA World Cup 2022 being hosted in Qatar brought attention as well to how Western media loves to twist and badmouth events, choose the timing of when the news comes out to get even more reach. All they know is to spread hate. For many years, Gulf countries, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and others have taken migrant workers and since forever they have been abused, died while working and did not get paid. However, only when Qatar is hosting the World Cup, the Western media decided to cover the news and share awareness. How these countries treated and continue to treat migrant workers is not right, but you cannot only choose to cover a humanitarian issue like this when you feel like it. During the COVID pandemic, many famous fashion brands involved in Global Brands Group were not paying the poor countries where they produce a product with much cheaper price than what they sell. Such fashion brands like H&M, Zara, Nike, Abercrombie & Fitch, and American Eagle Outfitters refused to pay poor people for their work, but that time you cannot bat an eye and only when Qatar is hosting the World Cup, it needs attention. Why does this happen? Why can’t Western Media just cover news with the attention it deserves mainly when it involves a humanitarian crisis like this? Does a white person exploiting poor countries not require people to know about it?

See how this did not get much coverage or get an interesting or triggering headline as it is supposed to. Suddenly, the western media cares about worker rights. Sorry, if this just does not make sense.

This is the way Western media has always played their role in making people not care about information, or manipulate into believing untrue events, and even holding prejudice. The amount of hatred Western media had just because a Middle Eastern country is hosting the World Cup, and then the hatred amplified when Morocco, a developing country made it to the Semi Finals. The media used everything in their power to make the people read news starting from calling Morocco’s team terrorists, affiliating them with ISIS on the day of their very important match, and even went on to mock the player’s attachment with their family by comparing them with monkeys. However, it is strange for them to even take a lash at family values.

The how they are championing something like nudity but mocking players for having family values shows it all. Why could the west not simply respect another’s tradition? Are there not enough social media or videos to go nude at? Why do they have to do this in World Cup? Kids watch world cup too and are also there at stadium, it is normal for parents to not want these types of incidents. What’s more is why is this type of news being painted to make Qatar’s traditions look bad? I am sure they could have kept their clothes on for respect. It is the same as someone visiting a country’s island and when it is said it is not a nude beach, you should follow. This is basic respect. If white is superior and west acts to be so superior, they need to learn how to be respectful at the very least. Let’s not forget that they enslaved people and rose to power and crushed the so-called poor countries, brainwashed them so they can never rise up as it is simply too much.

So much for needing footy strip, and Qatar controversy, but where is Western media in covering Myanmar’s atrocity when they burn a new-born? Where is it about China’s crimes? Why are they not calling them out and only a poor country’s media is bothering to even put it on news? Media needs to be used to raise awareness and can be utilized to actually stop crimes. A lot of good can come out of it, it can make stronger nations stop this disgusting nature of crimes, but that is not what it is being used for. This is wrong. Call this out.

Moreover, when the legend Lionel Messi was draped with the traditional Bisht cloak that only highly influential people in Qatar wear, Western media used fancy headlines just to take yet another swipe at the Gulf country hosting the World Cup. It is time to undress the Western media’s hatred and anger surrounding any good thing a nation of color would do and expose how they turned anything good to something negative. The way they always do so is at times comical.

People while mentioning any bad event happening at the west, say that strangely, the media would find a person of such and such name, and of such and such race to be the reason behind all the chaos. If this is not racism, then what is it? The way they always target people of a specific faith, especially Muslims, who they call “Moslems”, just because they are people of the second largest faith simply shows the insecurity to even allow people to practice a faith. Christianity is still the largest faith in the world, and I do not see why KKK, Karens of the West, or the Western media is feeling this way. Nobody likes preaching, and neither does anybody like false accusations and constant poking about someone’s faith. It is almost a nauseating cliché to how they instil Islamophobia on daily basis. What they do not understand is that while they are just getting more reach on their tabloids, innocent people have to suffer the ugly consequence. They start paying a hefty price of numbness from others, especially when they are migrants. However, Western media will always fail to cover news with their fancy headlines when it comes to genocide in China, war crimes in Israel, racial cleansing in India, or killings and rapes in Myanmar. You would see a completely different story if it involved white people or if it was against what they want to target which is to instill Islamophobia. They cannot cover news that can be used to stop violence.

There was also news once that the West wanted to do trials of vaccine in Africa, but it did not get much attention. Is it because the Westerners cannot be perceived in their true colors even when they are championing that white lives matter more? It is time to realize the ugly part of Western media and fight for equity because migrant lives matter, lives of people of color?matter, and black lives matter. It is time to understand that the people of any kind of faith do not have to tolerate injustice because of propaganda which is false. When a person of color dies due to a white person’s crime, it never reaches media at times, and if it does, it gets very less attention. They paint a different story, twisting words out of people’s mouth which can be seen in Meghan Markle’s letter to her dad, and show you what they want you to see. It is time to put a stop to the ugliness of Western media. The western media and the Karens are the minorities in the world, people of color, and white people who have hearts, please stand up against this horrible injustice, wrongful accusations, and preferential coverage. This is not freedom of media or freedom of speech, this is a spread of hatred, bigotry, violence, and any sort of phobia. Let them not fool you.
