Western Canada Marine Response
Yesterday morning I had the opportunity to head out on the water and shoot with the Prince Rupert Western Canada Marine Response team. It was your typical North Coast weather with moments of sheets of rain, sun, then more sheets of rain :-) Not weather for the weak of heart or the unskilled (at least as a photographer...)!
It was in my view a perfect day for a photoshoot for this subject. Anyone that knows the coast knows these are the people who are going to be out in the worst weather. Bad things as a rule happen in lousy weather, so why not go out and capture some real life weather and action?
Here are a few shots of these local vessels and the team in action. I know for myself I am glad to have this group on stand-by to respond to whatever comes up on our coastlines. They have the right equipment, and the right people for whatever is thrown at them.
