The West Ridge Difference - A bit about this home.
In the past couple weeks, after my initial post about this project, we have received quite a few requests for additional information about this home. So, I thought I'd share some details as well as a link to the interior photos. https://westridgefinehomes.com/12-silverhorn-ridge/
The features selected throughout this custom home reflect our clients love for the outdoors and passion for the environment. That, in a manner of speaking, is where the conversation started.
The exterior materials, textures and color scheme were specifically chosen to not only enhance but magnify the naturally organic features of the site in which the home is surrounded by. And although the intent of the overall architectural design was to create a bold statement, the selections chosen, from the natural cedar pillars and wood textured AL-13 panels, to the natural ledge stone and earth tones, every detail and pallet was chosen to create harmony within the natural elements the home is hemmed in.
The instinctive shades and textures extend throughout the interior selections with the use of a concrete feature wall, natural walnut wood work and warm gray tones with hints of vibrant color.
There are several architectural features within the home; two unique and identifiable features are the main floor fireplace and kitchen design. The fireplace crates proportionality within a room that boasts 24’ high ceilings. It is the central focus of the main living area and the kitchen, with it enormous concrete island, inspires conversation, family time and an odd desire to want to lay on top of it(is that weird?).
The most innovative feature about this custom home can be found within the functionality of the layout and unique spaces. The process of breaking down the lifestyles of every family members interests and daily routine and translating that through architecture by designing purposeful places.
We have accomplished that here by parring the family’s daily agendas with innovative spaces like the open concept main floor and tiered bonus room containing a pool table. This allows for their highly enjoyed family time and entertaining, while the multiple private indoor and outdoor spaces are designed for relaxing and enjoying the elements or studying.
This floorplan was designed specifically to accommodate our clients needs and lifestyles. With four teenage kids and multiple vehicles, we know from the start that parking could be an issue. On top of that, the family all enjoys riding motorcycles. The result was a tiered four car oversized garage with a shop space, loads of storage and a place to park and maintain several motorbikes. The lower level garage enters the basement of the house through the kid’s mudroom, the upper garage enters the house through the adult’s mudroom.
The result of all this attention to detail and thoughtful planning is a home that our clients absolutely love spending time in, it was all created through conversation, asking the right questions and collaboration. This home is truly an extension of our clients, we are so proud to be a part of it.
