Wesleyne's Weekly Wisdom

My sales journey wasn’t just difficult — it was a test of resilience. I’ve faced doubt, battled fear, and wrestled with self-sabotage along the way.

I’ve faced rooms where my voice was drowned out, moments where my expertise was questioned, and times when I didn’t know if I could keep pushing forward.

But something inside me refused to shrink back.

I learned that my silence didn’t serve me or the women who would come after me.

Finding my voice didn’t just change my career; it empowered me to help others find their own.

And that’s what this week is about — owning your power as a woman in sales and, once you’ve done that, helping others rise too.

Speak Up, Even When It’s Hard

There’s something profound about the moment you decide to stop asking for permission to take up space. In sales, we often feel the pressure to stay in the background or let others speak for us. But I’ve learned that the most successful women in sales are the ones who take the leap — who speak up, advocate for themselves, and lead with confidence, even when the odds are stacked against them. Here’s how you can start practicing self-advocacy today:

Start with Your Truth

What is it that you believe in? What values do you want to stand for in your sales career? Knowing who you are makes it easier to step into spaces that may feel uncomfortable. You don’t have to be anyone but yourself.

Take One Bold Step Every Day

Whether it’s raising your hand in a meeting, sharing an idea, or simply correcting someone who underestimates your capabilities, take one step each day toward standing firm in who you are. Don’t wait for validation — claim it.

Ask for What You Deserve

Promotions, raises, opportunities — these won’t be handed to you. You have to ask for them. And not just once. Sometimes it takes persistence. If you don’t ask, the answer is always no.

Help Others Along the Way

Once you’ve found your footing, don’t stop there. Look around and see who else might need encouragement. Mentor someone who’s been too scared to speak up. Your strength gives others permission to be strong too.

If you're ready to elevate yourself and others, let's schedule a call. We'll pinpoint one actionable step to help you amplify your voice and advocate for your career growth. Now is the time to build a future where you and other women in sales can thrive together.
