Werkling x Keeley's Cause: Our WerkInKind Pilot
Earlier this year, Werkling launched our social impact program, WerkInKind.
WerkinKind provides not-for-profit organisations who are working with vulnerable communities with the opportunity to access highly skilled Werkling talent at no cost. ?
The program matches select not-for-profit organisations to our exceptional on-demand talent who deliver a Werkling sponsored project.? The WerkInKind program is funded by our Werkling talent community who contribute a portion of their Werkling generated revenue to the WerkInKind fund.
The organisation that was selected for the inaugural 2022 WerkInKind Program was Keeley’s Cause who provides iPads for children diagnosed with Autism and Intellectual disabilities.??
Werkling CEO and Founder, Michelle Fotheringham shares that “Keeley’s Cause was selected because of the incredibly important work they do and their ability to present a great organisational challenge that Werkling talent can help with”.?
The challenge? Keeley’s Cause is growing and, with a volunteer workforce, it is important they have customer-centric and clearly documented business processes and workflows. This is essential to not only ensure a consistent experience for the families they support, but also to position the not-for-profit to scale.
Once selected, Werkling matched Keeley’s Cause to the perfect Werkling, Zoe Piper , to deliver the program of work. “The focus was getting everything out of spreadsheets and into an online tool that could streamline the application and approval processes. It was great to partner with an organisation doing such important work in the community”.?
“We are grateful and excited to be chosen as the very first recipient of a WerkInKind sponsorship program. Zoe did a fantastic job creating the Clickup process and dashboard for us, which is a game changer in how we process our iPad applications.? We now have everything we need in one place and are already seeing the benefits. Thanks so much”, says Sharon Murphy , CEO of Keeley’s Cause and Keeley’s mum.
WerkinKind aims to have a sustainable impact, embedding new capabilities in not-for-profit organisations as well as providing our talent community with valuable experience in the community sector.

More about Keeley’s Cause
Keeley’s Cause provides iPads for children diagnosed with Autism and Intellectual disabilities.? The Cause was established in 2017 by Keeley Johnston (then aged 13) and her mother Sharon after seeing firsthand the benefits technology can bring to children with Autism and Intellectual disabilities.? Keeley's Cause supports children from low-socioeconomic families that often cannot fund an iPad themselves and have not received one via NDIS. An iPad that can be used at school and at home, ensures kids have a dedicated resource (not a shared school iPad) and learning can continue in a range of settings. ?
