Alright, sneakerheads and lovers ????, this one’s for you! ? Nike just named a brand-new CEO, and the street is pleased with it. Stock prices jumped nearly 10% in after-hours trading. So, guess who’s the new face of Nike’s leadership? Drumrolls, pleassssseeee… ???
It’s Elliott Hill! Yep, the same Elliott Hill!! ?Why the hype, you ask????
Well, Well, Well, Hill isn’t just any CEO. This guy used to run Nike’s consumer and marketplace biz—he was the man behind the scenes, making sure you got those limited-edition Jordans. ?? And now he’s back to lead the squad into its next era of greatness.
Swoosh squad, REJOICE! ????
John Donahoe, the current CEO, is stepping down on October 13 but will stick around as an advisor until January 2025. It’s a smooth transition for sure. Yeah!! The timing couldn’t be more crucial, though. ?I mean swoosh seemed to have lost its swag lately—stocks were down by 25%, revenue growth slowing, and competition turning up the heat. But with Elliott Hill back at the wheel, right now? Expect BIG things!?

Ayyyyyye, hold up! Mobileye just pulled off a stunt that’s got the street talking! ?? Intel acquired Mobileye in a $15.3 billion deal in 2017 but relisted its shares five years later through an initial public offering. As of Dec. 30, Intel owned about 88.3% of Mobileye's common stock.?
Recently, Mobileye Global Inc. shares soared to their highest in almost TWO YEARS after Intel came through with some sweet reassurance. Yesss…. Intel said they’re NOT planning on ditching their majority stake anytime soon.? The company shares went up after this announcement….Yup, 19%! Investors took a deep sigh of relief, and so did we????????? (In Tomi's voice).
“We believe in the future of autonomous driving technology and in Mobileye’s unique role as a leader in the development and deployment of advanced driver assistance systems,” Intel said. (Alright, Intel! We see you backing your tech! ????) Mobileye has been having a tough year, but I guess this rally might just be the light at the end of the tunnel!?
Not every rich guy stays the talk of the town forever… and Darden Restaurants can testify.. (let’s give them the mic ????).?
So, Darden Restaurants—you know, the people behind Olive Garden (where those breadsticks are basically sent from heaven ??)—just stepped up to the mic to tell everyone, "Yeah… we didn’t make as much money as we thought this summer." Surprising, right? So, even though they opened more restaurants, the numbers weren’t exactly giving last year’s energy. Sure, they sold a little more pasta ??, but it wasn’t enough to pop champagne. ??
BUT WAIT… plot twist! They’re partnering with Uber! Yeah! So, now their customers are gonna be able to Ubeeerrr themselves some Olive Garden right to their doorstep! YES, my friend, unlimited breadsticks without leaving their couch. ? Oh, it shook things up! Darden’s stock price took a little ride up—So, ?even though Darden didn’t hit their summer goals, they’re all good.?
