We’re on the right path! Aren’t we?

Based on all the research that has been done on global warming and its effects on the globe, we finally understand that, in order to live a longer and healthier life, we need to start finding sustainable and innovative replacements for all the damaging factors.

It’s not always what it seems

Over the past 20 years, the air pollution levels have improved in Europe and we tend to believe that we’re on the right path when it comes to this subject. However, as a recent article posted by the Guardian, 98% of Europeans live in areas the World Health Organization (WHO) says have unhealthy levels of small particles known as PM2.5, 80% for larger ones known as PM10, and 86% for nitrogen dioxide. In most parts of Europe, these levels have decreased but in regions like the North of Italy and Eastern Europe (Bucharest included), the levels are still alarming as these particles are small enough to embed themselves deep into the lung. They are associated with a variety of health issues such as heart disease, cancer, and premature births. The particles known as PM2.5 and PM10 have been estimated to contribute, annually, to the premature deaths of over 400,000 individuals across Europe.

Bucharest rules

Slowly, but surely, Bucharest's municipalities are making the first steps in solving this problem. On May 30th 2023, law 155/2023 was approved and became a priority for the sake of the citizens. The purpose of this law is to establish the necessary conditions for a sustainable, equitable, efficient, and inclusive mobility system to achieve better mobility conditions in urban and rural areas, reduce greenhouse gas emissions from transport, and increase road safety in urban areas, using green and digital solutions.

Moreover, an NGO called The Streets for People Association (Asocia?ia Str?zi pentru Oameni ) is determined to make Bucharest a better place by initiating smart and sustainable campaigns. Their latest campaign, Calea Victoriei - pietonal? permanent?, aims to ban the vehicles from one of the most beautiful and full of life places in the Romanian capital. With this initiative, the citizens will enjoy going out without being disturbed by the vehicles’ noise and pollution and will have more space for walking around and discover the beauty of Bucharest.?

Your support matters! ?

If you believe in this campaign, you can still sign the petition right here ! With almost 22.000 signatures out of 25.000, we’re one step closer to make Calea Victoriei better than ever. e-Mobility Rentals already signed it - what are you waiting for?

e-Mobility Rentals fights for a greener world, one step at a time

Prioritising the population’s health is the e-Mobility Rentals’ core. We do understand the consequences of having so many thermic cars: pollution, loud noises, traffic congestion and so much more. Banning vehicles from certain areas of a city is a great idea, but it will not solve the problem of the remaining areas. For a city to be as green as possible, the number of thermic vehicles must drop drastically, by being replaced with sustainable and innovative alternatives.?

At e-Mobility Rentals, with our swap system, we aim to make the electric mobility experience easier and accessible to our partners. We offer all the benefits of the electric vehicles and we remove the problem that drives people away when it comes to making the switch to the electric side: having to wait for hours at the charging station so you can continue your journey.?

Time is one of our most valuable assets and it’s a shame to waste it. This is why we developed the swap system that allows you to have a fully charged battery in less than a minute. Whether you drive a minivan or a scooter, by using our specially designed mobile app, you have access to the swap stations in which you replace your empty battery with a fully charged one and you’re good to go!??

Quotes

“Targeted efforts are needed to address PM2.5 and ozone levels and associated compound unclean days, especially in the context of rapidly increasing threats from climate change in Europe.” - Zhao-Yue Chen, ISGlobal researcher and lead author of the study.

“Our belief is that sustainability is no longer optional, and companies are taking it increasingly seriously. It has become essential for the future of businesses. e-Mobility Rentals targets those companies and projects actively seeking solutions to neutralise carbon emissions generated by their vehicle fleets, educates them in the spirit of responsibility, and demonstrates that taking care to ensure that your actions do not harm now and in the future actually means caring.” - Eduard Anghel, e-Mobility Rentals CEO
