We’re recruiting over 400 Border Force Officers and Higher Officers to join our Small Boats Operational Command. We’re advertising vacancies at Ramsgate, Dover, Gatwick and Tilbury/ London Gateway under this campaign.
Border Force is the part of the Home Office responsible for securing the UK border 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by enforcing immigration and customs regulations.??
The Small Boats Operational Command will strengthen existing capabilities to oversee operations to disrupt Channel crossings, save lives at sea and ensure the safe and secure processing of arrivals in the UK.
We’re recruiting for a range of different roles and skills as we build this command. These include frontline operational officers and managers, as well as roles working on international co-ordination and intelligence gathering. They also include corporate support roles responsible for health and safety, as well as contracts and estates management.
Salaries for Border Force Officers on the National scale start from ￡25,750 and for Higher Officers from ￡32,000. Plus, for some roles an Annualised Hours Allowance (AHA) of 50% of salary will be applicable, which equates to an additional ￡12,875 based on national salary minimum for Officers and ￡16,000 based on the national salary minimum for Higher Officers.

1 年The advert says, "... ensure the safe and secure processing of arrivals in the UK." But the UK Government are planning to delegate the processing of the arrivals, i.e. the asylum seekers and other immigrants, to local officials in Rwanda, which is a poor third world country with a major problem with corruption. In doubt g so, the UK Government will be contravening the human rights of the people concerned. So, I will give this job opportunity a miss.
