From the day we started Cúpla in 2019, our agency has always existed to build, design and support brands that make life better for people.?
Since then, we’ve grown from a team of two passionate founders, Lyndal and Justine, to a thriving team of five, and a broad network of partners. With every new team member, we’ve deepened our commitment to using our work in brand strategy, design, marketing and communications to help organisations in all sectors to better serve their communities.
Which is why we’re excited to announce that we’re now a Certified B Corp - just in time for our fifth birthday!
This certification means more to us than a badge. It’s part of our long-term goal to continuously improve the way we do business, so we can deepen our impact on people, and lessen our impact on the environment.
What is a B Corp, and why does a Certification matter?

We believe that every organisation has a responsibility to work towards meaningfully benefiting the communities they serve and the environments they work within. By joining the B Corp community, we’re amplifying our impact as part of a movement to change the way we define business ‘success’ - from profits and growth alone, to measuring the positive changes we can make for the world.?
Our impact?
Our final score of 80.7 provides us with a starting point as we work towards constant improvement - and keeps us accountable as we head towards our next assessment in three years.?
As a small, service-based business, our strongest areas of impact were Workers, Governance and Community. The assessment process helped us to strengthen and formalise important policies for our team around flexible working and leave, and financial support for volunteering, switching to green energy providers and accessing training. We also initiated our corporate giving policy and built plans for extending this in years to come.?
Throughout the assessment, we saw the collective impact of the B Corp community at work - exemplified by the support of our B Corp Certified workspace, The Hub, in formalising and amplifying our sustainability policies.
So what’s next?
We’re close to achieving our next big goal of serving a 100% purpose-driven client base. We will also be using our B Impact Assessment results to target areas for improvement and find new ways to offer better customer and community benefits.?
