We’re Halfway There [July 2024] ????

Welcome to July (or Q3) Ambitious Family!

We are officially in the third quarter (or Q3) of 2024. As a business owner, now is the perfect time to reflect on your business's performance and look ahead to the rest of the year.

We hosted 20+ events at Ambition Center during this first half of the year and wanted to share a subset with you (see the list below). Our flexible space has transformed to host everything from baby showers to youth open mic nights to multi-day strategic planning sessions for nonprofit organizations.

At Ambition Center MKE , we are more than a coworking space. We are a vibrant hub linking companies and organizations to community. Our mission is to provide Black professionals, entrepreneurs, and creatives with access to technology, resources, and strategic connections.

January 2024: CTRL+C Re-Launch

On January 13th, we celebrated and welcomed a new member Christal Shipp, the founder of CTRL+C Print and Copy Shop. The day was filled with food, fun, fellowship, print specials, and a word from the founder of CTRL+C. If you need any printing for your company, please email [email protected] today.

February 2024: GLOW Day/Nacho Average Game Night

On February 22nd, our member, GLOW 414 Inc , hosted a Nacho Average Game Night session to connect with their community partners, credible messengers, guardians, and youth in the city. February 2024: The Pieces of Me

On February 24th, our member Sabrina Hightower , the founder of Zeal Services, hosted The Pieces of Me Mental Health Awareness session. This event was a community-driven initiative that connected mental health experts and advocates to discuss ways of managing stress, reducing stigma, and providing support for those affected by mental health issues. March 2024: Identity, Culture, & Extended Adolescence

On March 21st, we invited Derrick "Baba" Rogers to host a Collaboration Corner. During this session, we explored the intricate web of cultural and social factors shaping the values, decisions, and behaviors of Black youth and young adults in Milwaukee. ? April 2024: Paint the City Teal Day

On April 2nd, our member, SAMANTHA COLLIER , the founder of TeamTeal365 Inc , hosted the 11th Annual Paint the City Teal Day Celebration. This event kicked off #SAAM, celebrated survivors, and amplified the work done by Team Teal 365 in Milwaukee. May 2024: The Cleaning Academy Launch + Hiring Event

On May 18th, our member (and Ambition Center's Operations Manager), ChaBria Smith , the founder of Advisory Living & Learning Agency , hosted an information session and local hiring event to support the expansion of her cleaning business. June 2024: A Conversation with Danita Graham, APSW

On June 30, our member, T’Keyah Bennett , the CEO of BLK Girl Space , hosted their monthly group therapy session. They created a safe space for Black Women to connect and express themselves while sharing space with a licensed professional.
