We're going BIG in 2023! And other news from the world of Wi-Fi.
There's so much going on in the world of Wi-Fi right now that I've been working extra hard to try to catch it all and report it. Here's the super condensed version:
Enterprise Wi-Fi 7 has arrived! Our awesome partners from IO by HFCL last week launched the world's first enterprise-grade Wi-Fi 7 access points (powered by 高通 ). I don't have the figures but I'm guessing the IO is the fastest growing Wi-Fi equipment maker in the world right now with a huge footprint in India while making inroads into Europe & elsewhere. Read more here about the launch.
Meanwhile on the smart home side Swisscom became the fifth operator in Europe to launch a Wi-Fi 6E service - powered by our other great partner SoftAtHome - and shortly after Vodafone UK also launched their 6E service to become the sixth. No doubt that there are many more in the pipeline. Read about the Swisscom launch here .
The first version of the 'matter' protocol was released last week - and Google pounced on it to released their new Ostrich-egg-sized glossy Google Nest Pro Wi-Fi 6E-capable consumer-grade router , prepared for 'matter', of course. Not to be outdone Amazon launched a raft of new eero products - including some for for SMBs - and eero now supports mobile phone hotspot backup solution. Eero Wi-Fi technology is now included in Echo smart speakers so that an Echo can act as an extender... Clever, no?

And of course innovation is still rampant on the enterprise infrastructure side - including from multi-award-winning Airvine. Airvine is out to transform enterprise networking with their 60 GHz solution, which is now being delivered world-wide. How are they doing it? Find out more here in our latest guest blog.
Finally: The world has reopened - and WiFi NOW is open for business. And we've decided - after two super successful events this year in Cancún and Stockholm - that we're going even bigger in 2023: Four WWC events - including Brazil, UK, Austin, and Bangkok. Our Brazil event will take place on March 27-29 in Rio de Janeiro. Contact us now if you want to make sure you're part of our 2023 series!

2 年I do wish all these product announcements included some data on how, or if, they were also solving bufferbloat. It shouldn't have to be a DIY thing anymore, but proudly announced on the box. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UICh3ScfNWI
Exciting to see Wi-Fi NOW spanning the globe - this should definitely help boost global harmonization around the full 6 GHz needed for the robust Next Gen Wi-Fi consumers need and deserve!
