Welcome to the 46th issue of Mindset Transformation published on the 2nd May 2024. I trust you enjoy reading it. I'd enjoy getting feedback from you so I can address topics relevant to you.
The purpose of this newsletter is to share my ideas, tips, and strategies on transforming your mindset that so you can transform your business and personal life.
By transforming your thinking from the inside out, aligning your subconscious and conscious thought processes, you will develop a creative and positive mindset that supports your personal and business growth.
Are you a perfectionist? Does fear of not making a perfect video stop you from going on camera? The thing is, perfectionism masks fear of being criticised, of not being good enough. I've been there, come out the other side and being relaxed and imperfect is so freeing! And fun, and you become so much more likeable. Read my story below.
A turning point in my life was the day I presented an annual report to a group, and afterwards someone said ‘I don’t know how you can do that’.?I suddenly realised most of the people in front of me that day were not judging me, but thinking, ‘thank goodness that isn’t me’!
The same applies to video. Most people are not watching to criticise you. They want to ‘get to know’ you by seeing and hearing you. The more natural you are the better they will like you! Imperfect is fun and relatable, perfect is boring and intimidating!
One of my last blocks to doing videos was the belief that I had to do it all perfectly – perfect lighting, perfect make up, perfect clothing, perfect background, all before I’d even said a (perfect) thing! Then I discovered people who didn’t do any of that perfectly, and the more I watched them, the easier it became to be myself on camera.
Now when an FB live doesn’t turn out the way I intended, I don’t delete it as I used to, as I hope my imperfection will set someone else free from perfectionism and the fear of criticism that it masks.
If you want an example of self-assured imperfection, join my FB group Be Seen, Be Heard, Be Real where I share ideas, tips, stories, information, answer questions, and welcome your contributions too. You’ll also hear about the talks and courses that I offer to help you change your anxiety about being on video into being comfortable on camera and doing live presentations.
Being free to be yourself takes so much stress out of life! Come join me!
I'm developing a new course and this is the pilot/beta version, at a beta price!

The importance of mindset is huge because what you think is what you become and achieve. Having transformed my life by transforming my perception of myself and what I can achieve, I understand this profoundly.
