We're Bouncing Back With New Client Wins
Steve Gill
European Manufacturer of Die Castings. Serving Diverse Market Sectors. UK based. Adding Value.
The Coronavirus Pandemic has presented challenges on an un-precedented scale for every business on the planet.
It has resulted in many businesses changing their route to market, many more businesses ceasing to trade and 1000’s of SME’s consolidating and looking for new ways to service their customers.
As one of Europe’s leading diecasting specialists with a client base in the automotive sector we were also affected by the global downturn in the sector, but as our company has a strong diversified client base we've been able to weather the storm and in fact acquire new clients during lockdown.
Apart from the reduction in demand in the automotive sector all of our other customers remained very busy.
Dedication to quality and a commitment to excellence has resulted in the new business wins in the air filtration and lighting sectors and this has allowed us to continue to invest in future output.
We invested in 2 new vertical CNC Fanuc Robodrills machining centres to cope with the increase in demand from the lighting and air-filtration sectors.
We are also utilising robot automation in the machine shop and a new lathe has been installed taking advantage of this state of the art technology. The robot will automate the loading and unloading of parts and we intend to automate further cells in the machine shop over the next few years.
We have a reputation for outstanding customer service and have been at the forefront of the diecasting industry for well over a century. We provide castings for use in a diverse range of sectors in Europe and USA across the complete spectrum of the manufacturing industries including automotive, marine, lighting, electronics, filtration and hydraulics. Our strong production and technical capabilities coupled with superb service and attention to detail in manufacturing are seen by many as the key reasons why Lupton & Place continues to lead the industry.
