We're Back!

We're Back!

Welcome back to our NewsBytes: Special Comeback Edition!

After our founder, Rhiana Spring, broke her leg in three places last year, we decided to close down our social media and communications to take some work off her shoulders. But you know her, nothing holds Rhiana back and so we still went full steam ahead in all other aspects of Spring ACT and are excited to share our highlights of last year with you!

As you explore each NewsByte, we hope you feel the depth of your involvement in something profound—a movement where your contribution truly matters. The impact we've achieved is a testament to the steadfast support and belief of individuals like you. Thank you for being part of Spring ACT.

?? BOOK OF THE YEAR RECOMMENDATION

Our recommendation of the year is the groundbreaking book from our very own ACT Advisor Flynn Coleman

A Human Algorithm by Flynn Coleman

Coleman, an international human rights lawyer and Harvard and Yale University fellow, explores the imminent societal shift as intelligent machines redefine human existence. As we navigate the age of artificially intelligent (AI) machines, this fascinating narrative discusses the urgency of ethically designed AI and acts as a guidebook to reimagining life in the era of intelligent technology. Coleman advocates for instilling values in AI and emphasising the need for diverse perspectives in designing technology. From questioning human superiority to envisioning a more humane future, "A Human Algorithm" is a compelling guide for anyone eager to understand and navigate the profound implications of AI in our lives. An absolute a must read!
