We're attending the Leeds Conference on 5 June, are you?
Dr Edward Walker
Organisational Psychologist ? Consultant to Professional Service Firms
Earlier this year I started working as a consultant for Freefort. This has given me the opportunity to work with their clients, developing new and innovative learning materials on a range of topics, and joining the coaching roster of several leading law firms.
Working a consultant you quickly recognise just how centralised the UK economy is, with a disproportionate amount of focus placed on London, and more specifically, The City of London.
While I do enjoy my periodic trips down South, I remain a Northerner at heart; living on the Yorkshire-Lancashire border, I have a keen interest in all that is happening across the great cities of the North.
I'm, therefore, delighted that Freefort is sponsoring the Leeds Conference, which is taking place at Leeds Civic Hall on 5 June. The event is designed to highlight Leeds' growing stature as the UK centre of excellence for legal services outside the City of London. To achieve this Leeds Law Society has partnered with Leeds City Council to bring together a number of key stakeholders to discuss the opportunities that Leeds has to offer legal practitioners.
The event provides an excellent opportunity for networking and learning about recent innovations taking place in the legal sector. I will be attending the event with fellow Freefort consultant Stewart Brown, so if you are keen to find out about our work and learn more about how we help clients to create workplaces cultures that are both healthy and productive make sure you drop by the Freefort stand.
