Wentworth Courier: Bondi unit blocks sell for almost $8 million
A BONDI apartment block has sold for $7.975 million at auction, well above its initial $6.8 million price guide.
The 36 Moore St block included seven apartments including a penthouse.
The selling agent said seven bidders registered on the day with the first bid coming in at $6.5 million.
“The auction was well represented by local family investors,” he said.
The local family who were the first and winning bidders will hold it as an investment.
The block had been listed for sale for the very first time since it was built in 1965. The owners had lived in the penthouse apartment with their parents when they were children.
In the same week, a second block of apartments sold in North Bondi for $6.33 million. It had an initial price guide of $5.5 million.
The 38 Warners Ave block was sold by Laing+Simmons Woollahra agents, Kevin Mendes and Imran Hamidi.
The block features six two-bedroom apartments with sunrooms.
